Burnham were well beaten at Woodford in the latest Zamaretto League match.  Jamie Jarvis bought in Grant Kemp for his debut in place of Adam Jeffrey.  Kevin Cotton was still out injured.

Burnham had the worst possible start when Dave Tilbury was dismissed for a challenge on Nathaniel Liburd with barely 10 minutes gone.  The home team took full advantage of the extra man and after 18 minutes LIBURD opened the scoring.  Despite being the one man short Burnham pressed on and will feel they should have gone in at the break level.  All ideas of this were scotched a minute before the break when LIBURD got on the end of a loose ball from a corner to double the advantage. 

After half time Burnham introduced Jordan Dowdican as they went about reducing the arrears.  The hosts had more of the play and it was little surprise when Liam RUDDICK put the further in front with a goal from the edge of the area.  The match ended on a sour note with Woodford having Terry Fitton red carded along with Burnham’s Ryan O’Toole after they clashed with barely a minute to go.
