PROFILES 2011-2012

THE MANAGEMENT

MARTIN STONE (MANAGER)  

Martin spent some very successful years managing Chalfont Wasps where he won the Berks & Bucks Intermediate Cup 3 years running and also claimed the Hellenic League Division One title before a short spell at Aylesbury United.  Disenchanted with management he left the game for 18 months before come back and taking charge at Burnham in February 2011.

LAURIE CRAKER (ASSISTANT MANAGER)  

Laurie has managed or coached many local sides and joined Martin as his assistant.  He has had many successes in a career that started as a young professional footballer at Chelsea before moving to Watford.  His managerial/coaching career has included spells at Chesham United, Windsor & Eton, Chalfont St Peter, Walton & Hersham, Marlow, Slough Town and Flackwell Heath.

STEPHEN JARRETT (SPORTS THERAPIST)  

Stephen is a qualified sports therapist and physio who has worked with both Laurie Craker and Martin Stone before, he has had spells with Slough Town, Northwood, Marlow, Aylesbury United, Chalfont St Peter, Flackwell Heath and Wasps in his 25 years as a physio.

MATTHEW FLINT (COACH)  

Matt played at Flackwell Heath and Holyport and was also Manager at Flackwell for a spell.

RICHARD LEWIS (FOOTBALL SECRETARY/SCOUT)  

Tricx spend 11 years as scout at Sutton United.  Also spent many years with the successful Dave Russell/Laurie Craker team at Marlow and Slough Town. 

THE PLAYERS

ANDREW BAYLISS (debut 12/11/2011)   

Goalkeeper who signed from Fleet Town in November 2011.  Spent three and a half years at the Hampshire club under the guidance of ex Blues goalie Dave Smalley.  Impressive displays against us earlier this season made his a target.

RYAN BIRD  (debut 11/12/2004) 

Brilliant player, who has come through the youth team ranks at Burnham.  Quickly established himself in the first team.  Able to play in any position asked.   Prolific goal scorer and proven defender.

JEFF BROWN (debut 24/10/2002)

Jeff came through the Burnham Juniors.  Broke into the side only to see his chaces limited at the start of the Jamie Jarvis reign and left Burnham to join Marlow and then the now defunct Windsor & Eton.   Spent a year injured and is only just returning.  Re joined the club at the end of 2011.

ADAM DICKENS (debut 13/08/2011) 

Played through the Marlow youth set-up and then local football for Marlow United before returning and making a big impact. Moved on to Slough Town where a serious injury blighted his time and then joined Windsor & Eton winning promotion.  Returned to Marlow and joined Burnham prior to the start of 2011-2012.

JORDAN DOWDICAN (debut 20/10/2007)  

Young striker who came through the Burnham ranks from the youth team.  Made quick progress into the first team squad where has contributed some very important goals.

LEWIS DRIVER (debut 12/11/2011) 

Lewis came to the club in November 2011 after spending time at neighbours Holyport.  The lure of Southern League football prompted the move to The Gore.

WILL DUNLOP (debut 15/08/2009)  

Big centre back who formed a good partnership with Paul Brett at SYCOB after his transfer from Windsor & Eton.  Most past Burnham managers had admired Will as a player and would liked to have had him in the back four/five/three.  Now in his third season at The Gore.

JOHNNY GRAY (debut 17/12/2011)

Signed in December 2011 the experience fullback first played for Flackwell Heath before moving to Marlow and then Thatcham Town before reyurning to Marlow.

BEN HUDELL (debut 16/08/2008) 

Ben returned to Burnham recently after spending the back end of last season at Marlow and the early part of this season at Windsor.  In his early career he was on Chelsea’s books and at Hendon before arriving the first time at The Gore.

OWEN HUNTE (debut 03/12/2011)

Signed from Combined Counties League side Feltham.  Some good performances for the Reserves earned his call into the First Team squad.

KIERAN KNIGHT (debut 24/10/2011) 

Kieran was released by Wealdstone and immediately teamed up with Burnham.  The experienced striker has a successful career, including time at Watford, Hayes, Maidenhead United and at Hayes & Yeading United.

LEIGH MASON (debut 13/08/2011)  

Spent time as a youngster with Marlow before being invited to Fulham.  On leaving there played at Flackwell Heath, Banbury United, Slough Town and then two and a half seasons at Staines Town.  Last season played back at Marlow before linking up with Burnham at the start of season 2011-2012

JON MUNDAY  (debut 13/09/2011)

Central Defender signed for the club in September 2011. Previously at Hemel Hempstead, Hitchin, Maidenhead, Walton & Hersham and Hayes & Yeading United.

CRAIG O’CONNOR (debut 26/09/2000)  

A legend in local football, Craig has played for most of the local sides.  When he left Burnham he went onto Maidenhead United, Weymouth and Grays.  Scored many important goals.

JULIAN OWUSU (debut 19/11/2011) Ghana international who initially signed for Hayes & Yeading United.  Made his debut for Burnham and became an instant hit with the fans, especially for the goals he scores

HARRY PRITCHARD (DEBUT 17/12/2011)

Signed from Flackwell Heath in December 2011.  Young wide midfielder who has already made an impact with his energy and crosses from the left.

DAVE READING (debut 12/02/2011)  

Young defender who came to the club from Hendon.  Started as a youngster at Wycombe Wanderers.

CHRIS ROBINSON  (debut 17/09/2011)

ame to Burnham during the summer of 2011.  The young defender made his debut in the September.  Previous clubs are Hampton & Richmond Borough and Staines Town.

ASHLEY SMITH(debut 18/08/2004)

Ash is in his second spell at the club, returning at the start of this campaign.  His first spell was cut short by the manager at the time not seeing his potential.  Went on to play at Maidenhead United and Hampton & Richmond Borough.  

LEE TOGWELL (debut 14/09/2010) 

Signing from Chalfont St Peter in October 2010, equally comfortable in defence or midfield. 

DANIEL WILLMENT (debut 13/03/2007) 

Dan has made a welcome return from Marlow.  Midfielder was skipper of the side until a bad injury hampered his career.  He has no nonsense attitude to his game.

MITCHELL WOODWARD  (debut 12/03/2011) 

Joined the Blues from Marlow.  The midfielder had previously been at Chalfont Wasps and Flackwell Heath.
